Mites

• Members of the class Aranea (which includes spiders & ticks)
• Very small, 8-legged creatures
• Some species can produce webbing
• Mites cause plant damage by sucking out plant juices, resulting in yellowed & mottled leaves
• Mites prefer dry, hot weather
• Can produce many generations per year
