If I had to guess, he was probably 150 years old in bug years. A friend had a mantid egg case. A couple of days ago, they began to emerge. I took a few. How interesting it is to watch them when they are babies. Same as children…full of energy, all over the place. It looked as if one of them was holding a baby bottle. Actually, it was a fruit fly that he had bitten the head off of.
